The terraces of the Cathedral of Mallorca reopen to the public from Thursday April 3. Residents of the diocese of Mallorca will have free access until Saturday April 5 (Sundays the Seu is closed to visitors) and, from day 7, every Friday.
Tickets to the terraces can be purchased through the website (catedraldemallorca.org) or at the ticket offices of the Cathedral. General admission costs 25 euros and includes a visit to the Cathedral and the Museum of Sacred Art of Mallorca.
Residents of the diocese of Mallorca will pay 8 euros to go up to the terraces from Monday to Thursday and on Saturdays, from April 7. From April 3 to 5, access will be free for residents of the diocese of Mallorca. Free tickets can be purchased on the website and at the ticket offices, and must be documented proof of residence to obtain the discount.
From April 7, residents of the diocese of Mallorca can also access the terraces for free every Friday. In this case, they will have to purchase the ticket at the ticket office and provide documentary proof of residence to obtain the discount.
The terraces will be open from Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm and on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm. Access is organized every 30 minutes, in one-hour shifts.
The opening of the terraces of the Cathedral of Mallorca allows a different perspective of the most important temple of the island, the bell tower, the flying buttresses or the main rose window. It also offers spectacular views of the bay of Palma and the city.
Optionally, visitors to the terraces can purchase an audio guide, which offers, in addition to information about the Cathedral, details of the tour of the terraces and the views of Palma.
Due to the characteristics of the route and for safety reasons, access to the visit of the terraces is limited to people who do not have cardiorespiratory diseases, vertigo or reduced mobility and to people over 9 years of age.
